That’s true, there’s always something new every week about it. Also, I never had shortness of breath which is like major symptom. Maybe because I’m always working out and don’t smoke so my lungs could be strong if that even makes any sense or hold any factual truth to that.

since u did lose smell and taste, you might had corona.

i know some medical experts believe the disease came to the states as early as December.

Would make sense. Governor of CA is ordering coroners to review deaths from as early as December to understand this all.

Guys I’m very confused. Cnn keeps switching up. So is this slowing down or not? I know the death rate is going up but are new cases slowing down? Also are all the states (especially Illinois) opening up May 1?

Idk if it’s been answered but Illinois pushed it back to may 31st. I expect for us to be on lockdown til the end of June. I feel like they’re gonna push it back again.

This is real as s***. Nobody is looking out for small businesses by "allowing" them to reopen right now.

It's just...stable. We hit a peak a couple weeks ago and it's been basically hanging around there since. No exponential growth but no real signs of improvement on a national level.

Some states are showing positive signs though. For instance, things are looking s***ty in Cali if you look at the case numbers and deaths, but a lot of the cases are multiple weeks old because of backlogs and we actually have 12% fewer people in the hospital for confirmed/suspected cases of COVID-19 than we did at the end of March:

antibody testing indicates that over 2.7 million people in NY have likely had the virus and recovered

brings the mortality rate to about .5%

probably many false positives on the antibody tests but I'm sure it'll be under 1% when it's all said and done

    1% is still much tbh
the spanish flu had something about 2% and we know they didnt test that much during this time

that new york antibody population test wasn't very rigorous in its methodology

for starters their "randomized" selection involved only testing people out at grocery stores

that's hardly indicative of the overall population who is staying inside etc in my opinion

extrapolating that for the entire state or even city is dangerous no matter what your sample size is

you should still be extremely careful in new york city bro

Can corona also be like a small cold?

  • Apr 24, 2020

COVID-19 affects different people in different ways. Most infected people will develop mild to moderate symptoms.
    Common symptoms:
    fever.
    tiredness.
    dry cough.
    Some people may experience:
    aches and pains.
    nasal congestion.
    runny nose.
    sore throat.
    diarrhoea.
On average it takes 5–6 days from when someone is infected with the virus for symptoms to show, however it can take up to 14 days.
People with mild symptoms who are otherwise healthy should self-isolate. Seek medical attention if you have a fever, a cough, and difficulty breathing. Call ahead.

    Guess not

Yes! I read someone with this exact same situation in this thread last week and didn’t believe them, but my girlfriend legit flashed the check today on FaceTime. She files taxes and works but is 10000% claimed on her parents’ returns. She’s 20 FWIW

I am so confused at why or how she got it but I can’t find articles with a bunch of similar situations. It doesn’t exactly surprise me because of how janky their system is but still weird

  • Might try too, tell me if you survived tho
