Better to not go down this road if he can’t do basic math I doubt he knows what a confidence interval is
Memorial Day really about to be canceled
Lol you really think we’re going to have any large gatherings this summer at all?
I’ll be surprised if any concerts or festivals will happen this year at all.
NY cases increased hard today, over 8,000...
Not surprising they've increased testing by nearly 10k tests so far and are seeing the same test positive percentage as yesterday. For reference its 34,736 tests and 8,130 positives today and 25,938 tests and 6,244 positives yesterday.

yeah they tested last week around 25-35k every day, this week only 15-25k except today. so they're not doing really better when you're looking into the daily new cases

"The theory is that nicotine could adhere to cell receptors, therefore blocking the virus from entering cells and spreading in the body, according to renown neurobiologist Jean-Pierre Changeux from France's Pasteur Institut, who also co-authored the study."

Yeah man the tail on this s*** is so f***ing long. It takes a while for new cases to really drop significantly. Add on top of that how compact and densely populated NYC is and it'll probably be a while yet until things really settle down there. I really feel for the people still forced to use the subway to get to their essential services jobs man it's such a tough situation to have to put yourself through.
I didn't make that assumption
The population here is less dense and more rural than most areas.

20% unemployment
Crazy, but shouldn't jobless claims and unemployment be different? Because there are also new hirings happening
Idk if it’s been answered but Illinois pushed it back to may 31st. I expect for us to be on lockdown til the end of June. I feel like they’re gonna push it back again.
I wish the government could realize how some of us come from dysfunctional families and staying at home this long is so hazardous to our mental health
My family is crazy and being stuck with them for an indefinite time is really messing up our dynamics and mental health

Where are new hirings happening bro? Companies barely have money to pay their current staff. I literally just logged on to indeed and LinkedIn and applications I had submitted in February hasn’t even been reviewed upon. I had three companies interested in me in early March and they said they would call me for a final interview but they literally stopped all communications after March 15. Their was a job posting somewhere in Houston on LinkedIn and I clicked on the link and the job posting was no longer available. Nobody is truly hiring bro. They just have bots or scammers posting fake applications
pritzker extended the stay at home all through out may. so many locals around me are pissed
