People that argue for reopening everything lose all their credibility in my eyes. Can’t take you serious after that.

Had me looking like this trying to read after that English sentence
I know, I know, it was a Sunday, but the following countries posted their lowest death counts in many weeks:
US (March 31)
France (March 12)
Spain (March 21)
Italy (March 14)
Germany (March 28)
UK (March 31)
Iran (March 10)
Yeah, it's going to be low because it's a Sunday, but there have been a bunch of Sundays since these previous lows. And plenty of countries did not have a good day: Russia, Brazil, India and Mexico all continued to experience a surge.
Collectively, this Sunday was the least deadly day of the pandemic since March 28th. Daily growth rate in newly reported deaths dropped to 2% for the first time since March 2nd.
I would be curious to see if anyone has an explanation for why this particular Sunday resulted in worldwide totals that haven't been experienced in a month.
I would say it's deceptive. Do you know what's strange? The numbers were extremely high in the previous days, especially for us in the states.
Spain has been struggling for days, sometimes there are 6,000 new cases, on the next day they have 3,000. It's no secret that they have problems with testing (same with France, only 612 new cases yesterday? What the f*** is wrong there?). Italy is the only country of all that can be said to be fully improving. Countries like Germany are always slacking off at the weekend, because the communities transmit everything there and more and more people take a break every week, so you can't trust these numbers (but it's definitely getting better there at the moment) and the UK always had over 700 and 800 deaths in the previous days.
Then there are countries like Russia who are giving a f*** on which day it is. They're testing every day 120,000 - 150,000 people. They have a run right now, probably because the government wants it. They are also building hospitals at the moment.
Iran is the strangest of all countries anyway, they have stable numbers for weeks and never had a noteworthy outbreak and the numbers never go down that much. How is that possible?
Only 43 deaths in the netherlands today
happy king's day
stay the f*** inside

All interesting points. The one thing that I will add is, as a whole, deaths shrank 12% last week from the week before (41k vs 47k) and 4% from the week before that (41k vs 43k). So while yesterday was a big outlier, it isn't coming out of nowhere in that it came at the end of a down week in general.
It could be the start of a positive trend. Another week without any days in the 7k-8k range would be a good sign. I do think we'll have a big spike today or tomorrow though.
Real ones know these terrible times are the best opportunities to level up. I hope the housing market crashes. I’m tryna buy some real estate

Governor Newsoms been holding California down lately
Hope in the future he'll run for Pres. & represent dems better than that old man can

EU countries' numbers in weekends are relaxed because less numbers are reported by hospitals. On Monday this gets adjusted. Still, France, Italy and Germany are going downward. Nobody knows what the f*** Spain is doing at this point.
The other thing is that it's not the number of cases that shows whether a country is progressing down. It's like this:
number of recoveries on day x - number of infections on day x
right now in Germany and France, more people are recovering per day than getting infected.
Nonetheless, relaxation of these measures should only happen when the number of daily cases are <100

Yeah, at this point almost every big country in the EU is doing better but the f*** is doing Spain (and France, their numbers are f***ing crazy every day sometimes it increases extremely, then on the next day you have the feeling that it will soon end there)
I even go so far as to say that Germany will soon be finished with the "first wave" because now everyone who got it three or four weeks ago has recovered. The RKI is doing a good job.
ngl the news about USA making yall look the dumbest of all people
