Moscow's Mayor Segei Sobyanin separately estimated that around two per cent of all Muscovites have been hit by Covid-19 with the capital city a hotspot compared to the rest of the country.

If correct this means around 253,800 people have contracted the virus in Moscow according to a calculation based on screening.

Russia has officially acknowledged some 214,800 people are under medical supervision across its 11 time zones suspected of having contracted the virus.

The more I see this virus ravage other countries, the more grateful I am to live in my state. We did a pretty damn good job, only losing 2,000 people so far out of 40 million and keeping the r0 at a reasonable level.

How much do you think a human life is worth and how much money do you think the us would lose if it stayed closed for another month? It says a human life is worth 10 mil. If we would lose an additional 20k lives this month due to opening to soon (avg age 60 so their life is worth 2 mil) that’s 40bil worth of human lives I bet the us would lose more than 40bil if it we stayed closed so they decided the money lost was more valuable than the lives lost. I bet when they ran this for April it was the reverse and the value of humans potentially lost was more than the money

Getting paid $9/hr to struggle to breathe through face masks while getting berated by maskless customers ignoring head count guidelines to buy crawfish boil stuff and alcohol is infuriating. Dog it’s crazy. I drove around town yesterday just to get out for a few minutes and it’s literally like there’s not even a pandemic anymore.
