Even if a vaccine is finished by Q4, it won't be available to the public until Q1-Q2, and this is if it is done by Q4

Still another 9 months minimum of living like this, could be closer to a year
The Operation Warp Speed timeline is actually making the first 100 million doses available to the general public by November and I believe that specific vaccine is among the 8 or so candidates they've chosen to focus on.
Not saying that's going to happen, but that is the intention with a date attached to it. If any vaccine comes through as having efficacy, there will be manufacturing resources available for it.

Yes I know
I took a virology and immunology course in college I very much know how vaccines work. And I’m not concerned about the general public right now, it’s the high risk individuals that we need to give this out to and the quicker they can get it the better
But general public is what matters if we want to get social life and large events to happen
I am happy to work from home though for as long as I can
Hopefully in the future I can work from home 2-3 days a week forever

I'm probably taking a break from this thread for a while tbh. Not because of anyone in this thread specifically, y'all are way better to talk to than Twitter, but because I've been spending 2-3 hours a day, every day, reading coronavirus stuff and it's occupying my head too much.
It would be nice to focus on writing and job hunting for a week (I'm trying to lock up LAUSD teaching eligibility and have some loose ends to tie up) and prove to myself that I don't need to obsess over this s***. It really has gotten to that point and I know it's not healthy to be checking Worldometers every hour.
