However:
1. This isn’t true for all patients
2. This isn’t necessarily too terrible of an issue
3. The disease has been around for just a few months, it’s way too early to be able to accurately describe any effects as “permanent”Also, nowhere in any of any of the articles linked in the quoted post mention permanent sclerosis so I’m unsure where that claim is coming from

The deaths in Florida (and also in California) keep going down right now. Florida could have 10,000 daily cases, if there's no drastically spike in hospitalizations and deaths, nothing will change.
The last thing they want to do is impose a second lockdown, that's why y'all need to protect yourself for good in the next months.

I’m a little confused on what exactly the argument is lol, so I guess I’ll try to clarify some things.
The initial study (https://pubs.rsna.org/doi/full/10.1148/ryct.2020200110) of the Diamond Princess showed that lung abnormalities were seen on CT scan in both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients. They occurred in symptomatic patients 79% of the time and they occurred in asymptomatic patients 54% of the time.
In the asymptomatic patients, the abnormality that was found most often was a ground glass opacity. I wouldn’t really want to consider this “organ damage”, as the lungs can often recover from this without any long term (or even short term) harm.
Imo, the major take away from this study is that CT scan can be a more reliable method for detection of Covid infection than throat swab.

More than it should lol.
Don’t get “it’s more reliable” confused with “everybody should be getting scammed”
CT scan is more reliable than other tests for soooooo many things, but that doesn’t mean it should always be done. Like you could give every woman an MRI for breast can we screening, and it would probably detect more than ultrasound, but the cost would be exponentially higher, and it probably wouldn’t make too significant a difference.
It’s all about the cost vs benefit balance

You can at least put a lot of these studies in simple terms for us. And explain any confusion.
