Facts. Working from home is detrimental for people that are on the lower levels of companies. They don’t make as much money, so there’s a good chance they don’t have any kind of home office set up which forces them to sacrifice other areas of their homes like living rooms and dining rooms and turn them into work spaces.

Plus not having in-person contact with their co-workers or bosses on a daily basis may make their impact feel smaller than it actually is and may limit their chances for promotion. These are problems higher up don’t have working from home.

Live in Louisiana. A coworker caught it and my store has been shutdown for two weeks (still being paid). Governor just made a mask mandate and shut bars back down. My city was (maybe still is) the worst in the country for new cases per capita

Yeah, I know people who own small businesses who are upset by all this because they still owe bills on commercial properties while they can’t have business. Freezing utilities and mortgage/rent until the economy reopens only makes sense. It seems like doing so would be significantly cheaper than giving every American a paycheck (although that should be being done as well).
