A lot of things would have.

If Trump did everything right the death count would hVe been significantly lower and we woulda been off lockdown sooner

The left's narrative has changed because they werent taking it seriously at the start either and they would have demonized Trump for taking extreme action during his impeachment

Not was, is. Trump is currently, today, actively making this pandemic worse. Fauci made his mistakes but it’s no where near the negative impact of trumps handling of this

It wasn't LA that's responsible for this either. Our reported cases and deaths were way down from last Tuesday and our hospitalizations dropped from yesterday. The rollback measures are starting to show up in the data. LA used to make up 40% or more of new cases, but now it's 20-25%.

Meanwhile, Orange (3 million people) and San Bernardino (2 million people) both hit almost 1,000 cases today Kern has 900k people and had over 800 cases.

    Interesting study on immunity length:

    medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.07.18.20156810v1

"After peaking, IgM levels declined with an estimated average half-life of 10.36 days, which was more rapid than those of IgA (51.25 days) and IgG (177.39 days). Based on these half-life data, we estimate that the median times for IgM, IgA and IgG to become seronegative are 4.59 (IQR 4.12-5.03), 7.78 (IQR 6.71-9.16) and 42.72 (IQR 33.75-47.96) months post disease onset. ... This study suggests that SARS-CoV-2 infection induces robust neutralizing and binding antibody responses in patients and that humoral immunity against SARS-CoV-2 acquired by infection may persist for a relatively long time."

Now, how do we reconcile this with stories about people getting sick again in a matter of months, sometimes far sicker than the first time? False positives? Exceptions to the rule?

just wanted to come in here as someone who works for an airport to inform others to please cease buying one way tickets thinking you're going to successfully leave the country and gain entry into another country at the moment the faint majority of highly sought destinations have all banned us from entry and are still placing bans.

airlines will refuse refunds due to their current predicament from the virus's aftereffects and are hoping that you mess up thinking you're going to get away please research your respective destinations accordingly and plan better i seen alot of people going out sad as of lately due to the panic and fear that's going on in the U.S.

Thanks for the info. How you feel about domestic flights, is that generally safe with everyone wearing masks?

    A Calm Ye

Thanks for the info. How you feel about domestic flights, is that generally safe with everyone wearing masks?

contact points have been majorly reduced no more than 60 people can board the plane at a time (for my specific airline) middle row seats are off limits and furthermore no one can board without a mask.

despite all of the precautions and measures that are taken and even myself who's granted the ability to be anywhere (domestically) for the time being i still wouldn't be out of my mind and get on a flight risking it all it's super selfish and you're potentially endangering your life or other people you care about that you're finna be around.

"While systems for alerting public health authorities of infectious spread did exist in 1918, they did not generally include influenza, leading to a delayed response. Nevertheless, actions were taken. Maritime quarantines were declared on islands such as Iceland, Australia, and American Samoa, saving many lives. Social distancing measures were introduced, for example closing schools, theatres, and places of worship, limiting public transportation, and banning mass gatherings. Wearing face masks became common in some places, such as Japan, though there were debates over their efficacy. There was also some resistance to their use, as exemplified by the Anti-Mask League of San Francisco. Vaccines were also developed, but as these were based on bacteria and not the actual virus, they could only help with secondary infections. The actual enforcement of various restrictions varied.

A later study found that measures such as banning mass gatherings and requiring the wearing of face masks could cut the death rate up to 50 percent, but this was dependent on them being imposed early in the outbreak and not being lifted prematurely"
