Fall semester should be all online. I cannot believe how f***ing stupid people are for trying to reopen while we are still peaking every single week. We should be seeing effective treatment and/or a vaccine next spring why put hundreds of millions more people in danger right now

Unfortunately the damage is kinda already done at this point. All we can really do is look at what we could have done early on (e.g., earlier social distancing, earlier mask wearing, earlier testing) so we can be better prepared for future pandemics.

I don’t necessarily fully blame trump, but I do think he could have done a better job and followed suit of other countries who were able to get it under control earlier

    Goodmorning Dr

I mean, it’s likely we won’t completely eradicate it even with a vaccine. But considering the progress we’ve made towards one and the economic toll this is taking on the US, I really really doubt this will last that long

Exactly, look at all the innovations and crazy production we’ve done during wartime in the past. As much as I have bad to say about the US, we know how to get s*** done production and distribution wise. If we see efficacy from the oxford or moderna vaccines, this will be “over” in the US by early next year
