People that wear face shields instead of masks, why?

How is a giant piece of plastic strapped to your forehead with an awkward plastic shield surrounding your entire face more comfortable than a piece of cloth over your mouth? There’s no evidence that a face shield even protects you against the coronavirus. Seriously, what are you doing?
