Did China just disappear from this pandemic? the last u heard them in the news everything in China was back to normal and this was in July

Nah. Media just moves on to the next "thing." China recently tested the whole entire city of Qingdao (aprox. 9 million people) after only 12 new cases emerged, lol.

    Only 12?

Just for that city in one day. Mainland China seems to average around 15 new cases a day lately.

Here are reports daily from the month of Oct.

They didn’t receive the vaccine, it turned out. The death is unrelated

If Biden were to get elected, one of the first things I would do in his shoes is get the governors together to agree on a re-opening threshold (perhaps a 5% positivity rate over 7-14 days). All covid-related federal funding would hinge upon signing that document. The federal government would pledge to get states all the testing supplies, PPE, etc. that they need in order to reach that goal, but remaining open a certain duration after crossing back over 5% (perhaps a few weeks/month) would risk sanctions, loss of pandemic funding, etc.

People would call this plan draconian, but it's the only way that a country comprised of many states, few of which have border security, could possibly keep the virus under control.
