Nah but to answer your question I think the current round of restrictions stem from all the unvaccinated people getting hospitalized and filling up the hospitals.
No one really knows what the end goal is at this point as most of the state govts. sans the Red states are just looking towards Fauci and the CDC for guidance.
Yeah, I’m in Louisiana, our hospitals are reportedly at capacity. I know a 23 year old who died recently from it.
Moms from Good Luck Charlie out here at school board meetings being all MAGA

Covid really the most boring and drawn out apocalypse ever. Bro, I bought all this Mad Max leather for nothing. The end of humanity not even popping like that
was never going to end humanity, just going to be really s***ty. it's 1918 over again.

Here’s an interesting email I just got

Disney even telling people who haven’t been hired yet they gotta be vaxxed (disclosure I took a position elsewhere I guess because I’m still in the applicant system I got this)
Is this s*** ever gonna end?
60% of Americans eligible for the vaccine are fully vaccinated lmao thats as good as we're gonna get.
Thats about how many Americans get a flu shot each year.
Like what are we even doing at this point? Wrap this up
At the end of the day there's only so much humans can do to prevent the spread of disease

Exactly I don’t see while people argue anymore . Either side let people do how they please eat healthy cause yelling at them to get vaccinated, giving them free things or saying “ you need a shot once a year for rest of life “ isn’t helping

There's an abundance of blatant misinformation from both sides
Anti vaxxers who think the vaccine is Zyklon B and those who think the unvaccinated are walking disease farms even though you can still spread the virus while vaccinated and thus allow it to mutate
Really the only thing we can do is just stop the hospitals from getting full but besides that this s*** is out of our hands

Seamoss and avoid the stress
delta variant = more infections
more infections = more opportunities for new variants
new variants = potentially higher infections / deaths
more deaths = more restrictions
and on and on it will go

Idk why so many people are tweaking about new variants
as long as the virus remains transmissable there will always be new variants
we just gotta keep up with the vaccines and move on. these restrictions are just prolonging the inevitable
Florida positivity rate jumps to 30%
Northeast US doing better than everyone else proves the vaccine works.
This was how one of our school board meetings was looking like..

Some more shenanigans from this meeting. Sidenote: Our governor just said all K-12 schools have to wear mask so none of this s*** even mattered. At least they got this s*** off their chest.

Anyone in their right mind will tell you that it's become endemic. It was already game over for containing it when it was spreading in China for months and we weren't aware of it.
The good news is that the vaccines work, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Covid is never going away but it will be a flu virus, like many other pandemics have evolved to be. S*** even the Spanish Flu is still out there but it's not a big deal.
Everything we're doing rn is just delaying the inevitable and it's frustrating as s***
