From what I’ve read, it seems that as a virus mutates, it is expected to get more transmissible as it gets less deadly. If Omicron is less deadly, then that suggests it’s following the expected trend. If it’s more deadly, then it’s a different story.

Is it just to new to know how lethal it is?
