Man, every single person I know who lives in NYC has Covid
Every day it becomes more and more clear than humans cannot stop a microscopic virus from spreading, and it will go out on its own terms, like every pandemic before it. Shocking!
Man I’m working in a public school rn and people are dropping like flies
They aren’t even reporting the numbers anymore but when you see 40 staff absences in one day you know something’s up
could just be cause of the holidays but I’m shook

If we’re really doing this again and I’m about to be stuck alone in my apartment for another couple months, f*** it I’m buying that synth I’ve been eyeing and riding it out

This really depends on where you live man. In most places I doubt much will change for you but if you're in Cali or something good luck. Most people are sick of this s*** for various reasons so I don't expect any real compliance

Honestly it’s the opposite of that for me. I’m in Indiana where not a single soul gives a f*** anymore. And I’m not really scared for myself since I’m triple pfizered up, but my grandmother who deals with some awful undiagnosed anxiety just got my uncle to pull her out of her nursing home again because they’ve already started to get a few cases and I’m almost certainly going to need to be a part of her care circle again like I was last year.
So not necessarily forced lockdown, but if cases are going through the roof again and she needs me I’m doing what I have to to keep her safe.

That's rough, my grandma is in a similar situation. The real saving grace here is that we're in a much better spot than ever before to fight this thing, especially when it comes to old people. I actually can't believe this is still going and I sound like a broken record but, truly, if it's gonna infect millions of people per day it literally has to run out of steam and lose its pandemic designation. We're near the end

I just wanna know if this new variant is deadlier than the past ones
most likely not. deaths are not rising like they were last year.
Two weeks to stop the spread
last time we tried that florida threw a statewide party for a few months while nyc had ambulance sounds as background noise every day

Yeah man absolutely. I’m grateful for how far we’ve come - just gotta keep doing what we have to until this all comes to an end. I did read recently that this could be endgame via endemicity, which isn’t ideal at all but yeah.
She’s already survived Covid once at 94, with her Cajun genes she’s got this 😤

If anyone says this around me irl ever I’m going to lose my mind
stopping social life def stopped me from getting it. I only got it after my sis decided to come down in August.
also not mad at people who aren’t willing or can’t do that. it’s been two years. can make extroverts go mad.

only people who say it are catturd types on twitter thinking they exposed “the deep state”
I'm starting to believe I'm asymptomatic, tbh. I should have been caught this s***.
