Crazy 20 months

I was on the brink and this s*** sent me off the deep end , ER visits, dr appointments, anxiety off the rocks

Really wonder how many people were affected mentally by the constant stress of this in a real way

Tested positive after work yesterday. Shoutout to my job for having rapid tests available for employees. Feeling completely fine though. Vaxxed and boosted up. Gonna go to two places to get tested again today though, feel like it's one of those things you should double check, especially if you aren't feeling any symptoms whatsoever.

The fact that I know how I likely got it is what's pissing me off though

I work at a gym and some old a****** antivaxxer was coughing up a storm and tryna rant about having to wear a mask and that "covid is turning us into pussies"

I used to be very patient even with the dumbest and loudest of anti-vaxxers, but at this point I really do not care if this s*** kills them. They're just plain selfish and moronic a******s who are a big reason, along with the gross incompetence of the CDC and our political leaders why this s*** is still as bad as it is after two years

I had a situation almost a month ago long before Omicron flared up at a show where a guy at a concert was trying to give me s*** for “wearing a muzzle” (indoors and at the rail, so no way to avoid the people around us) and I spent most of the time before the main set just kind of joking back and being like nah man it’s comfy. Then he said something along the lines of “it’s your freedom to be a p****” and I said “on my friend’s dead father, shut the f*** up” and thankfully he did because I’m not actually confrontational and he’d have f***ed me up in a fight lol

I’m sorry you have to deal with people like that on the regular especially at this point. I’m finding it hard to be patient and sympathetic myself. Currently it’s toward my unvaxxed cousin who has infected almost all of my family except for my parents and I as of today and is still going on about “those tests are scams” and s*** in the group chat.

Finally got some sleep and anxiety prescription from the doc

Can’t say im doing better but adjusting and finally getting prof help

It was tough cus i always had a baseline of being anxious and depressed but it took a while for me to accept that the constant stimuli/stress of the pandemic was affecting me in a serious way

The province of canada i live in had some of the strictest rules. Curfews, schools haven’t been in person in years etc like on one hand when i talk to my hs friends in the states i see how they basically don’t give af and i dnt want that but im at the point where I think the other side of the coin is kind of extreme as well

There was all this lipservice about caring about loneliness or mental health in the beginning then they basically said f*** it and locked us up for 20 months

Majority of people did whatever the f*** they wanted to do regardless of what the CDC has told them the last two years anyways .
