that’s what i’m saying, just had it and it was indistinguishable from a cold besides the body aches. Definitely a lot better from when I had covid last february

Good News? Hopefully it means hospitals wont be as packed during this wave

It's a good sign but I doubt that this is the end imo. I wouldn't say that this is weak af too especially for unvaccinated people

We're most likely getting multiple mutations out of this. Just hope that the next mutation isn't somehow worse than Omicron

also hospitalizations are rising somewhat quickly now in the US...

  • Jan 1, 2022

on December 27th, there were 73K hospitalized (BNO)

now it looks like the number will be close to 100K

so pretty big increase for that short of time span

silver lining is that South Africa's wave really wasn't that bad unless they're fudging the numbers.

Africa in general is another situation. I think South Africa had harder restrictions, most of the people are very young and they're barely testing people.

I wouldn't trust these numbers at all but it's pretty common that people in Africa are just dying less because they're much younger and obviously have worse problems

North and South America, Europe and Asia are going to have worse waves now. S*** is about to explode in India too

ANYONE BEEN COVID FREE ALL PANDEMIC

    WE OUT HERE

Idk how I’ve managed. Even when I worked on a film set last summer, the Warner Bros producers announced 10 cases (and 4 in my specific pod) and they made everyone test daily, I still didn’t get it.

This how I feel, I’m sure I caught it and was asymptomatic most likely, my other job is at a night club and I been working throughout the pandemic there pretty consistently since we re-opened fully which like back in may of 2020, ain’t no telling though.

    this true?

It’s the Us Sun but surprisingly true

A rice-sized microchip implanted under your skin could become your vaccine passport.

A Swedish tech startup says its device could be customized to display people’s COVID-19 vaccination records, according to a video the South China Post posted Friday on Twitter.

Epicenter, based in Stockholm, says anyone who opts for microchip implantation can later change their minds and have the device removed.

    I’m good on microchip

The government gives anti vax and conspiracy people too much ammo with how they handle things. Again I am vaccinated but they moving shady . Moderna stock , Pfizer stock booming making pills , different testing method , boosters yet it’s constantly “ flatten the curve “ in a land of BBLs

is this latest variant even driving up icu numbers like that though?

where i am cases are skyrocketing yet hospitalisations are stable

  • Jan 1, 2022

I get being unvaccinated I understand it but if you are unvaccinated with bad nutrition, no vitamins , out of shape no emergen c or proper water intake I’m confused on how you are alive

Hospitalizations is a lagging indicator and the full breadth of late December traffic hasn’t even came in yet in terms of cases

true. based on the data thats been coming out of south africa and germany though, im optimistic.

however tho if it is the case where it carries a much lower risk of hospitalisation but is actually so infectious that hospital figures do reach records. governments will be in a tough position where they will need to reintroduce restrictions to keep figures down, but it will be difficult to get public buy-in if the variant is harmless for most people.

on the fence of getting vaccinated. one question to help me decide

is there something like a 99% certainty that the vaccine wont turn out bad for us in a sense of making our immune system significantly worse or something like that in 5 years or later.
