I'm double vaxxed and just got over two weeks of covid. I had my booster scheduled for just after Christmas so now I'm probably not even gonna get that for a while. I need to feel normal for a while.

I’m worried that whatever new covid variants come about as a result of all this spread is gonna be much deadlier than omicron and delta

if it is then there would likely be a tradeoff with transmissibility

like when you think about it, a major driver of this s*** spreading is that the regular covid symptoms that we’ve all become accustomed to for almost two years are not really relevant with this new variant

‘covid symptoms’ now mean a regular ass headache, sneeze or sore throat rather than coughing or anosmia lol

Pretty s*** for the first few days, then it was a long period of thinking “oh I’m getting better I’ll feel back to normal any day now” but symptoms just kept lingering. Even some things got worse after I thought I was getting better. Like when I felt the worst I didn’t have a cough or sore throat. Then as time went on sore throat got worse and I got short of breath which gave me coughing fits that’s I’m just now getting over.

Anecdotally I do know several folks who tested positive that are dealing with the classic anosmia s*** rn. I agree though, we’ve widened the definition of Covid positive significantly

    not likely

while it can happen viruses do not typically mutate to become deadlier and instead become more infectious

ostrichcron variant and delta variant were noticeably less severe than OG

Nah not really true at all

While Omicron is obviously less worse than Delta, people still have worse symptoms. I‘m testing people right now and I‘m kinda shocked that so many people are vaccinated or even boosted and are suffering with symptoms. Especially people over 30 and all of them are vaccinated.

People seriously need to get vaccinated because Omicron is still dangerous IMO if you‘re not vaccinated

you cant know for sure what variant they have though? if so then its just anecdotal.

like where im at most people testing postive are asymptomatic or have a slight sneeze.

im just going by whats being reported via the current research and there seems to be a broad consensus that its a much milder form of the disease (if you’re vaccinated or covid-recovered ofc).

obviously everyone should still get vaccinated.
