isn't this what many have suspected from the beginning

The official story was gross china wet market for the first two years and all other narratives were conspiratorial lunacy

Evolution of the new Omicron variants FYI:

Omicron is now the dominant variant everywhere:

Bivalent boosters are effective against all Omicron variants including the newer ones. Highly highly recommend getting it before the Winter season spike. I got my shot late Sep.

Europeans will be getting a different version of the Moderna bivalent booster that provides longer-lasting protection than the US-version. The US version targets BA.4/5, the version for the rest of the world targets BA.1. Moderna found targeting BA.1 provides better protection against future Omicron variants like BQ.1.1 and XBB. The data shows either version is significantly better than the original series/booster increasing antibody titers by 4-6x.

I don't think so. It would require FDA approval, CDC and Biden trying to find the funds and political support to buy more vaccines when vaccination rates are super low. Moderna says mRNA-1273.214 (Europe, UK, Australia) and mRNA-1273.222 (US) are tailored to different populations and their needs. The FDA approved the mRNA-1273.222 version because the data was showing better results against the most dangerous variants in the United States. I think it's easier to understand why the FDA preferred mRNA-1273.222 (purple) over the EU version (yellow) when you see the data:

    And this graph:

Protection against BA.4/5 appears to be way better and the logical conclusion would be that it would also fend off BQ1.1 and the other future subvariants related to BA.4/5. Europeans are getting the BA.1 based mRNA-1273.214 vaccine because authorities there expect COVID to evolve differently and be prepared for a wider range of variants. Only time will tell which strategy is better.

Pfizer bivalent booster has been out since September way before Moderna and data on the Pfizer vaccine has been available for a while now. It provides just as much protection as the Moderna one. I got mine 2 months ago. No side effects. Recommend it.

To anyone curious whether the updated bivalent Pfizer and Moderna boosters provide protection against the new Omicron variants BQ.1.1 and XBB, they do (green bars). And far more than the original booster (grey bars) if the number of antibody titers is any indication. Pls get the bivalent booster because the new variants have shown signs of resistance to treatments like Paxlovid once you already got COVID. It's better to get vaccinated and build up your defenses than trying to fight the virus once it's inside of you.

  • Nov 23, 2022

We are still at a point of there needs to be more and more long research of vaccinated, each vaccine, unvaccinated, long covid and all of that. I am glad they are looking into myocarditis on a larger scale too. I am simply saying the more complete research you have the better and in a way there is so much data we could be giving if we could offer data to people or if lol we had free health care and could opt in to sharing essentially how our body was updating (if it was updating)

    Again I am Moderna vaccinated
