I wouldn’t want to drop them off if they are actually carrying the virus, considering it can stay on surfaces for a couple of days.

if your under 30 and relatively healthy its just going to be a more intense flu, you have nothing to worry about. only concern is infecting elders
even ppl aged 30-50 will most likely be fine if you don't have a severe underlying condition. the real worry is folks 60-70+.
