SARS lasted short because it was far more deadly for the individual. the virus was too effective and then died off. only good thing about SARS was that it did not spread as well as COVID-19 and that the symptoms were far more obvious.

covid is worse because it spreads more and has more asymptomatic cases, meaning that the virus kills a lot, but doesnt kill its hosts quickly enough to die off by itself quickly

flu is not comparable because we have a vaccine.

imagine if this virus forced everyone to stay in full isolation for a whole year till the vaccine is finished
and people with jobs like bakerys will only go to and from bakerys, same with energy centrals and stuff like that
so your life consists of just going to and from work spending the rest of the day alone
you only come in contact with the same people so you cant get infected if noone of the people you work with got it

now imagine if after the vaccine is developed people keep living this way because its so efficient

3 of my friends work in a store in the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet (Netherlands) and one of their co-workers was diagnosed with the coroner. Me and a friend were talking about this recently, I absolutely believe that a big reason we’ve been able to be more open to ppl and reasonable when it comes to things like this is because we’ve been able for the most part to live a cozy life mwith no big lasting interruption

Compare that to the european people in the 1930-40´s. These niggas suffered thru destructive pandemics and horrific wars, everybody back then lost people, saw terrible things, everybody back then was traumatized. I feel like that was a huge factor in them jumping into this hatred and madness
