Yeah true, media are over exaggerating things probably.

I think the difference is the common flu is just how it sounds, more common and infects more people, therefore killing more. But we generally know how to combat the flu and most people recover from it just fine with proper treatment.

The Coronavirus is new and we don’t know how to combat yet, so the death rate is higher. The amount of people infected is smaller than the common flu, but you can’t just look at the death total because it doesn’t tell the full story.
