the mortality rate of China yeah

Why does the mortality rate seem to fluctuate so much though? Is it just down to randomness due smaller sample sizes in other countries relative to China?

Govts trying not to to freak people out with real numbers, markets would collapse.

The USA might be the worst offender because the CDC is withholding tests and it’s really hard to get one from a hospital so that’s keeping our numbers down.

Death numbers are all fabricated because they don’t want people freaking out.

Sorry for being stupid why does Italy’s numbers keen going up if they are in lockdown? If we go in a martial law lockdown, wouldn’t our numbers start to decrease?

I’m just trying to keep my dad from being a f***ing ignorant ass for once in his life because I live with him, but I can’t tell if it’s working because his ability to take this situation seriously seems to fluctuate with however he’s feeling in any given moment.

We live in a rural area so I’d assume that would mitigate some risk, but even still, he doesn’t even have health insurance (while luckily enough I do).

Long incubation period some people are barely getting sick, it also takes a while to die after you’ve been sick.

Because you’re already infected if you went out in the last 3-5 days and don’t even know if yet :)

Honestly you people laugh at toilet paper hoarders, but you really dont have enough toilet paper yourselves. The average person uses 1 roll per day. If you have a family of 4, that's 28 rolls a week. Over 100 a month. TP rolls will be worth their weight in gold in a few months, because everyone needs it.

I feel like a lockdown only decreases the increase and doesn’t turn the steady increase into a decrease suddenly

Like if the deaths go up by 30 every day and a lockdown makes it so they only increased by 15 thats still more people dying but its still better than running into the knife

  • Mar 15, 2020

368 deaths in Italy yesterday holy s***
