The Netherlands already has a shortage on healthcare workers and hospital beds, so in case of an epidemic they'd be unable to provide the care thats needed. It's also been reported that many lack the equipment they need to examine a large amount of possible infected patients.

Government is gonna look into buying extra medical equipment, which they should've done weeks ago when they first noticed the shortage issue imo. They're not canceling large group events because it's not needed according to them.
