closed cases worldwide (either dead or recovered): 89035

    Dead: 7933

    7933/89035=8,9%

    google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/03/16/opinions/south-korea-italy-coronavirus-survivability-sepkowitz/index.html

South Korea has a 0.6% death rate
I think there are a few reasons for this and the death rate will end up being lower than 9% globally

    1) Older populations like Italy are gonna have a higher death rate
    2) Enough people aren't being tested in places like Italy and the US, probably way more people have it
    3) When a health care systems is overloaded like parts of Italy is way more people are just going to die because there aren't enough supplies and doctors for how bad things get

Still though this s*** is so contagious that if we don't shut stuff down tons of people will die for the 3rd reason

idk man , maybe you're right - there's also a lot of people ( old people specially ) that could have died without being tested

This is also true. But I feel like more people had it and recovered than people who died but weren’t tested. Odds are if someone fell ill suddenly they’d go to a hospital where it was confirmed they had it. Whereas you could have it but think it was a cold or something and move past it

believe what your gut tells you. the overboard fear tactics and mind tricks everyone is being succumbed to (and playing on themselves) is ridiculous.

what fear tactics are they then? the media certainly has not been scaremongering and started this whole thing by suggesting it is just like the flu.

Asymptomatic and presymptomatic people can spread it as well so it’s definitely not only through droplets

It also stays in the air for about 3 hours and on surfaces up to 72 hours (depends what kind of surface)

With the closed case method, they actually have a 5.4% death rate

I hope you're right , lets see but yeah maybe they're only testing people who were in contact with others and people who had extreme covid symptoms so this makes sense
