I work in health care so I know exactly how the system works you bimbo

Free health care makes people go to the doctor or hospital for anything because why not? At that point you have more people exposed, more health care workers exposed, more beds being used, more supplies being used. All this on people who had no reason to go to the hospital in the first place.

The ideal scenario is as they said. If you have symptoms you just stay at home. Just stay home and don’t go anywhere until they go away. Only go to the doctors if your symptoms are becoming severe that way the only people going to the hospital and being hospitalized are those who need it.

The problem isn’t how much s*** costs. The core problem is we do not have the supplies and beds to treat everyone. We just don’t. That isn’t gonna change regardless of health care.

It’s really disingenuous to anyone who doesn’t have a knowledge of the variety of subsidized health care systems to use that general term.

The best health care systems on earth are “free”. What does free mean? Research it lol every country pays for stuff differently and at the end of the day none of it is free.
The funding is just different, or comes from different sources.

That’s true. Cost is a deterrent. If you don’t have to pay for anything you’re much more likely to go to the doctor or hospital

Why do you think with the current system so many people wait to go to the hospital until the last minute when it’s absolutely necessary? They don’t want to pay unless it comes to that point

And by far the vast majority do not take advantage of “free health care” and lie in beds for no reason like you say.

Canadian health care is notorious for booting you out the hospital early, because of exactly what you say.

Makes more sense to go in to the doctor during early stages of an illness and get it looked after for a lesser price, rather than wait till it gets more severe and end up costing the health care system exponentially more.

i lived in the US and in Germany. ive lived both sides.
people dont enjoy going to the hospital, even if its "free". you wouldnt use up beds either, cause for you to use a bed, youd have to have a reason to stay the night.
i do go more often if i have a really bad cold or anything like that though. but in the US id just go to the pharmacy instead and try to treat myself with that.
youre not even really right short term, but long term, its better to go to the doctor before s*** gets really serious. thats when you really start weighing on the healthcare systems. regular checkups made possible by free healthcare benefit the system and the people.

my sister came home from asia with flu symptoms. doctors told her they dont have kits. she calls the gov. hotline, they tell her to go to the tropical center. theyre closed over the weekend lol
imagine how a person who doesnt give a s*** about spreading it could just freely spread this s*** in a first world country. were f***ed cause nobody gives a s***. this could be easily fixed
