i know that the people watching live said clinton did better (which i agree with from an arguing policy standpoint) but trump knew what to say to get clips repeated over and over on the news. in the end trump got a ton more media coverage from going on the aggressive, which resonated with a much wider audience than the smaller amount of people who watch the whole debates.
