  • smooth criminal is probably the best michael jackson performance jn terms of vocal performance, songwriting, concept, video, outfits, etc i know beat it, black and white, thriller, and remember the time are incredible but idk i was watching smooth criminal just in awe of the choreography you can’t put alien ant farm above that even if it is a great cover

    Did Mike ever speak on anyone doing covers of his songs?

    Yeah I’m sure he said he liked the Smooth cover, if it was in good taste then no issues I think

    The only thing he ever outright stopped was Weird Al wanting to parody Black or White. Due to the songs messaging etc it was not something MJ wanted to be parodied
