    Respectfully

I wonder if the whole write off s*** is a stunt because otherwise who the f*** cared about this movie lmao

But then again Batgirl hasn’t dropped

I was legitimately excited for this since i heard about it a few years ago.
Obviously a Wile E Coyote movie is a niche concept. It's never going to get a lot of hype off of the name alone, beyond hardcore animation fans(like myself), and Looney Tunes fans.

If the movie is legitimately great, has decent trailers, and comes out with great reviews, the hype will build for it. But its not the type of film that the name will generate hype

The sequel should be Coyote VS WB where he’s suing them for f***ing up the release of this movie

Actually interested after reading what it's about.

This s*** is like a WB cartoon in itself. Fat evil businessman chasing a cartoon print around, trying to delete it forever.

James Gunn should protest by refusing to make superman until Zaslav leaves the film alone

So I guessing the tax break they get for deleting this is higher than the offer price?

Movies should become public domain when they're shelved for tax purposes

  • What a shame where this could happen to a finished project. Scary precedent

  • It’s crazy because in the 90s WB would’ve given this a theatrical release and promoted tf out of it

    Times have changed so much

"But Warner Bros., which stood to make $35 – $40 million on the tax write-down, wanted something in the ballpark of $75 – $80 million from a buyer. And what’s more, they wouldn’t allow the interested studios to counter Warner Bros.’ offer. It was a “take it or leave it” situation, one that the other studios didn’t even know they were entering into, insiders told TheWrap."

    this s*** is sick

  • F*** WB, all my homies hate WB

I mean that's such an easy trade off. You get a pay out, and the public can try to make money off of it even if it's bad or good.

Atp I'm like bring back pirating in general but I could see that hurting the creators and actors more than the actual studio

That's my only concern. If it wasn't for the fact that creators put their heart and soul into these projects, only to be left at the mercy of the suits....

They basically wanted to get paid cost of the movie and what it could make if it were successful (so double its budget)

mind you, for a film that they were initially willing to delete
