mature response, how bout we have some open dialogue about how men make up 2/3s of suicides, women are twice as likely to be hired in STEM fields to promote gender diversity, men being murdered etc
I know a bright kid (in my sister's class) who's dream is to get accepted in a prep school that'll prepare him for advanced algebra in college. He had to take a test but didn't get in because
(entry level was set at 17/20, he got 16/20) yet looking at the results sheet he saw that 13/20 got in (a girl). The kid just said that he was going to work harder because he can retake thr test next year (he's still in high-school, he's planning to go to the prep school right after graduation)
((this story was told to me by my sister who is still in high school))
A physics professor, talks openly about these quota to his students (I know his students who tell me about it)
Ps: I don't want to get to specific because I don't want to reveal where I live etc
But yeah, the STEM field thing you mentioned is very real in European universities.
Meritocracy is a lie. that's all

what the f*** is this? reported
Nah it's dangerous to think like that. There is a stigma around men who are victim of sexual assault and domestic abuse. Many of them are afraid to speak about it. Society make it seem like sexual predators only prey on women and girls. John Wayne Gacy and Jeffrey Dahmer two of the most dangerous american serial killers were targeting mostly men and young boys. I don't think there is a large disparity between men and women when it comes to sexual abuse. Men and boys just tend to not talk about it or report it.
you sound like a dumbass
Come to Brazil talking that s***. or India. Or literally anywhere else in the world. Men dont carry rape whistles and mace in their purse at all times. Fathers dont kill their sons for honour. Men dont wear nail polish that detects roofies.
Using Dahmer and Gacy as two anecdotes is redundant. Wow two serial killers targeted males, this means that men get sexually assaulted just as much as women! Whole lotta dummy losers in here gahdamn go watch some more p***
I just wanna say while what you’re saying is mostly true that dosent really mean much. We as people don’t go by statistics that much because they’re not the best to go by. That’s like saying you shouldn’t be alert of afraid in a place you don’t know about since you’re a lot more likely to get murdered by someone you know than you don’t.
And it’s not just kidnapping. Robbery and sexual assault can happen. It Also seems you’re focusing on this about white women than women in general
White women because Lady in op is a white women (I believe)
Yes, that's what my plane crash a***ogy was for. Humans just process information very quickly and our behavior especially in regards to what we fear, is irrational. (doesn't make it any less real). the initial debate was that men have it easier or women have it easier or whatever. My stance is it depends in which circumstances and this tweet doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things. The problem also is she implied that the fear of looking back in her (which any human can have for different reasons) is proper to women when men can have that exact same fear or other tics for other things.
Idk im just tired of this ultra-labeled society,it's normal to call out things that affect each identity group differently but being snarky about it isn't helping imo. and pretending that it starts and ends with identity is an actual problem.

You just told us where you lived by the grading system you shared

I knew that was going to give it away a little bit
Those two were murderers that happened to be gay. And wasn’t a sexual predator just a deranged murderer. dahmer did what a lot of rapist/killers do ( target the homeless or black people or both cause they know the police won’t give a f***). While it may not be a large disparity but it’s also something women have to go with throughout their whole lives while men it’s usually when they’re children and Adolescents.
Their crimes were definitely sexually motivated, most serial killers get a sexual arousal from the murder they commit, many of them rape their victims before or after they kill them but this is a different topic.
Yeah in the adult world women maybe more subject to sexual abuse then men but you have to acknowledge the number of false accusations and false police report. A lot of women weaponize and overuse generic terms like "sexual misconduct" to bring down the men they hate. Sexual abuse is a very serious and complex subject, most of the time it's more about power imbalance than gender.
People get caught up on the wrong thing, start seeing the problem is with the locals themselves and everyone there should work out a way to address it
If someone feels in danger that they constantly on alert when in public then it's the public that's broken. That's a local problem and not smth women, people really in other cities have to deal with, at least not this extreme (being on high alert and all)

This is true, women in developing countries face these issues at a exponentially higher rate. yet we can discuss the realities of what privileges come with living in western, suburbs regarding any gender.. Nobody would argue the contrary.
the unreported rapes of men and boys are an actual issue in the West (don't know about the rest of the world, i believe it's worse)
It's even normalized and boys internalize it. I can't find it right now but we had to read a letter in class from a comedian who "joked" about getting raped at 13 years old but it wasn't funny at all. It was a very powerful bit in my opinion
We really need to stop suffering Olympics, humans don't deserve this (rape, murder etc) we can stand up for one without being numb to the other because we perceive a crime as worse when inflicted on a specific group.
I think that's the elephant in the room.
Let's be humanist for once.

"most of the time isn't about power imbalance than gender" this reminds me of those catholic priest.
Lock your doors?
And no I do the same at night myself. But I made it a habit to lock my doors no matter what

It's true, sexual abuse is more about power imbalance than gender. A lot of male slaves for example were raped and sexually assaulted by white women during slavery. We live in a patriarchal society and men in most civilizations tend to naturally outpower women so they're the persecutor, the oppresor and the abusers but studies show that women in positions of power are as bad and sadistic as men.

women pretending they have it harder than men again, what's new
All lives matter type beat
If you’re a man wondering why no one takes it seriously when you get raped, congrats! You now know how women feel about women getting raped. Perfect opportunity to develop some empathy.
This reminds me of this:
This is why I don’t get the congititive dissonance between women feeling offended when told to dress modestly but still wanting to reap the benefits of their sexual capital

Higher rate of women being hired in STEM can be explained by a decreased number of women studying STEM. If there was no societal pressure from traditional roles or whatever the cause is to not follow a STEM path, then it hypothetically should be equal right?
I always look in the backseat of my car before I go inside it and put my hand down there when I get inside to double check, especially at night
