i think most imprint releases are region free if not all
https://viavision.com.au/shop/collaborations-the-cinema-of-zhang-yimou-gong-li/

Man RIP to the legend.
We should recommended some Belmondo films to watch today or this week for the thread. His artistry will live on! I’ll start with “Breathless” and “Borsalino”

got le doulos running on the player rn, watching it shortly
classe tous risque
un singe en hiver
le casse
léon morin, prêtre
these along with doulos are probably my favorites, but his own produced films directed by verneuil are also probably a cool watch, especially peur sur la ville.
he always did his own stunts and that film boasts a lot of crazy s*** in terms of stunts
@RASIE you peep that the new hartley box with book of life and girl from monday is 50% off?
i'd cop but it'd total out to $66 with shipping and tax haha :( i'd rather wait for henry fool to go on sale and pay the ball busting $25 shipping for that instead

I'm still waiting for his ewest feature to drop. I donated to the kickstarter for it and it met its goal. But that was like 4 months before COVID happened, so i hope that didn't f*** up its production schedule too bad

My fave films i've seen him in so far are:
• Stavisky... (Resnais, 1974)
• Pierrot le fou (Godard, 1965)
• Magnet of Doom / An Honourable Young Man (Melville, 1963)
His performance in Stavisky is superb. The film in general is awesome too
Need Dunkey to visit the Criterion closet and just clear out the whole place without giving any commentary

he refunded everybody i think (either cash or stuff from his shop, depending on donation amount) because he couldn’t film it
its postponed indefinitely i think.
i’ve been tempted to read the screenplay for it but i’d rather wait honestly, next time i’ll donate as well when he’s ready to get it going

Either that, or he'd only pick out that Lena Dunham film and Armageddon then say the rest are trash
