    he refunded everybody i think (either cash or stuff from his shop, depending on donation amount) because he couldn’t film it its postponed indefinitely i think.
    i’ve been tempted to read the screenplay for it but i’d rather wait honestly, next time i’ll donate as well when he’s ready to get it going

    Damn i made a dummy email to create a kickstarter acct jusy to donate to it. I should check it to see about that refund

    I only donated $10 so i dont care if i never get it back. I just hope he ends p being able to make it in general cause he talked about it like it was his most personal passion project that would sum up his career

    Either that, or he'd only pick out that Lena Dunham film and Armageddon then say the rest are trash

    Armageddon's on Criterion?

    That and The Rock are the two michael bay films in their library, but they're both only on DVD (and LaserDisc) and have been out of print for a long time i think lol

    Yo its crazy how Criterion saw the over indulgent genius of Michael Bay all those years before the Letterboxd auteur phase began

    yah, def a strange ride (altho not as wild as performance, at least to me) and it being from my fave bowie era makes it all the more exciting.

    Yeah same, Bowie in '76 the rarest zenith Elvis in '56, Dylan in '66 and Prince in '84 alien rockstar god energy

    From my fave eulogy;

    "For all his spaciness, it was his crackpot compassion that made him Bowie. You can see that even in a movie like The Man Who Fell to Earth, which barely has a single coherent scene. The movie is a mess, just because Bowie is too hot to share the screen with anyone — you can see all the other actors watching him, wondering, “Is David looking at me? Does he think I’m pretty? Does he respect my creative process?” Bowie’s at his most zonked out, yet he still seems like the least confused figure there. But he looks so cool (orange hair! Borsalino hat! Trench coat and tennis whites and silver pants!) that I’ve seen this movie several dozen times anyway"
