    If you have an Alamo drafthouse near you, they stock a majority of criterion blu rays that you can rent for free

    Edit: this might only be at the one in Raleigh

    keeping in mind though that Jules & Jim f.e. isn't the newest restoration (which you'd get with the new criterion Blu-Ray release and presumably with the criterion channel)

    that's an added thing to your question if CritChannel is worth it

    I don’t really mind the dvds since I’m returning them anyway, but definitely copping a crit channel subscription in the near future. Seems like the only worthy streaming service tbh

    A woman is a woman and sivre sa vie should be next. Honestly just follow along with his films chronologically. It's fun to watch his ideas develop throughout his films this way
