easily control. it was the 3rd best verse on the song but gained reverence for a few bars that really weren't creative or special. he just name dropped competition and that shocked people.

most of the other defining verses in rap can't really be considered overrated because regardless of what you think of them, they became highly regarded for substantial reasons. thinking renegade, verbal intercourse, uncommon valor, etc. These are all flat out great verses through and through. Can't say the same for control.

Everybody has their own struggles, I see this is very sensitive for you. Look everything Kendrick does doesn’t have to be considered a classic, and his flaws don’t reflect on your existence in any way you don’t have to get worked up. He’s had great output quality wise but is most definitely over rated everytime he drops, he’s got classics tho. Just because casuals and stans lost their s*** over control doesnt mean someone who can comprehend lyrics line by line is going to have the same reaction.
