shirxsi9995It really is Kendrick with Control. As not a huge Drake fan myself he was right in that interview when he asked “who here knows how that verse even starts?” I ask that question now anytime someone says TPAB is a lyrical masterpiece, I simply ask them what their favorite bars or verses off the album are and maybe they know a couple bars on king kunta or alright, usually can’t come up with anything….not hating on Kendrick cause I do appreciate the place he’s brought hip hop to this year but Control is actually nothing more than mid, the worst verse on the song. Fans were j***ing all over themselves just cause he said a couple other rappers names 😂
I agree with Drake's take on the verse, but the impact is there cause of the fact it's still debated today.

It is a top tier verse from him not cause it’s miles better lyrically but for one, it fits the beat perfectly, for 2, coming after the long long build up, and for 3) hearing him spit when he says Tupac you know he’s just rapping super passionately.
I also feel like subject matter wise it’s one of his most personal that I’ve heard, im not gonna act like a Ross connoisseur but I’ve heard a fair bit of his stuff
