As a huge Cudi fan for the past decade and not a big Travis fan, he def sounded a lot like Travis on many tracks. The way he used autotune made me think Travis might've been an uncredited guest on some tracks.

Honestly found it sort of weird and off-putting at first, I got used to it though. Album is solid, not quite the masterpiece the first two were but it did the series justice

  • Jul 5, 2021

Cudi been known to react way too sensitive at any hint of shade, he's a grown ass man imo it's about time he starts acting like one when it comes to criticism

nah i said the first version of astroworld would have but i also said the scotts album wasn’t good so they scrapped it. idk if they restarted but yeah. i also said trav album got heavy kanye and tame impala involvement which is substantiated by him saying it’s like psychedelic rock

What’s the first version of astroworld

  • Jul 5, 2021

that's true for most of it but travis scott doesn't have a song this good

U right Fans cant be critical/ignroant/bantering

We gotta suck the artists d*** at all time

Guys what I'm saying is that a "fan" would know that Travis is biting Cudi and not the other way around.

You kidding me bro Cudi was huge during MOTM 1 & 2 era. Him Drake and Wale were considered the ones. He been on every Kanye album since 808s he def got every bit of credit he deserves

Nah man there’s a lot of people who trash him for no reason & I’m speaking on this site in general

    Theres a difference between saying

"Travis inspired Cudi" and "Cudi is doing an average Travis impression"

MOTMIII wasn't amazing, it didn't match the first two but it wasn't very Travis esque besides that one song.

The initial tweet is disrespectful af don't try to downplay it by saying he was talking inspiration

The only part that was really like that was the adlibs and some of the background vocals. But it still sounded very much cudi. I remember people acting like it was indistinguishable from Travis when it dropped

Would really love to see hip-hop audiences showing more respect to the OG and pioneers.

Travis inspired Demon Slayer, you can say what ties MOTM3 with Travis is Mike Dean production which is present also in BITTSM

cudi has been using Mike dean production since motm2 fool.

Also what did Travis inspire on ppds? None of that album sounds like anything Travis would do outside of the song he’s featured on….

I’m surprised this is happening now because it was a very common complaint on the day of release that he sounded like Trav on this

Cudi always has one song on his motm projects that appeals to the masses.

Make her say, erase me, show out. All stick out like a sore thumb and are clearly the radio song on their respective projects.

Also this still doesn’t answer my question on how him using Mike dean production is because of Travis…when cudi has worked with Mike dean for over a decade now.

Y’all gotta stop acting like cudi didn’t do everything travis did before him.
