TrappedInMyDome2I really don't understand why people hate his "trap sound" so much. Is it because you don't like trap? Or is it because you're used to hearing CuDi not do that type of music?
I just don't really get it. I f*** with it. I believe CuDi's in his musical prime right now. I think it's good dude is finally feeling himself and has the confidence to put out songs with that trap sound. It's not like that's all he's doing either. MOTM3 had a good variety of songs and 1/3 songs he previewed slightly had that sound. Should be happy we're still getting music from Scott with all the s*** he's been through.
As far as the fingernails thing and the dress and all that s*** CuDi's always been about self expression. If you can't respect him expressing himself in the way he wants I doubt how much of a fan you are of CuDi. Will I ever paint my fingernails or wear dresses no, but Scott is breaking down the barriers for those that do want to. He's not hurting anyone by doing that.
I'm just happy dudes happy and seems to be really enjoying making and putting out quality music again. That's all I care about myself. Dude can dress or paint his nails however he wants

His adlibs on the Scott’s are pure f***ing comedy

His voice doesn’t really work for the trap beats he chooses (and his voice just sounds bad nowadays)
He chooses pretty boring trap beats from producers like daytrip instead of selecting interesting and cutting edge production

That and the fact he can’t flow on them. Trap influenced production is very structured and so when you get on them your flows are forced to fit its structure, only the best rappers can find unique pockets with their flow when rapping on trap beats and Cudi doesn’t really do this on MOTM3
But then you have Cudi on a beat like this that doesn’t have any drums and gives him the freedom to flow freely without being forced to adhere to the structure of its drums, his rapping is excellent

That was fire af set the tone brilliantly for the hook
