That was fire af set the tone brilliantly for the hook
I know just a nitpick on a classic
Cause carti/that beat stinks
We arguing about hi hats now ?
Idk what u talking about
I’m just saying Cudi using a weatherman flow/delivery only works on beats that give him enough space and freedom to flow freely and go multiple bars without rhyming.
Too Bad I Have To Destroy You Now is a great example cause there are some parts where he’s flowing and the next line; u expect him to rhyme with the last one and he chooses not to and it still sounds dope. It’s because the beat gives him enough space to do that. But now we see him using that flow/delivery on beats that are too structured for him to be trying that
Imma stfu cause as an artist, I hate when fans act like they know what’s best for an artist and I feel myself doing that here
All I’m saying is that I’m not a fan of it and those r my reasons, nothing more
I just want more anthemic music from him again, s*** I can sing along to w him

“As an artist” Oh brother lol
Alright from my perspective as a fan of his for over a decade
It is very refreshing hearing him rapping over this type of production cause for years now him doing spacey “moody” music for me got old the bottom half of PPDS bored me
Like yeah sure I can relate to what he’s talking about but hearing the beats recently knock, on top of his unique voice/flow just brightens my day. It feels harder than his older music. Hearing the drums kick in on tequila shots made me cry
Pale Moonlight is also a great example
Yeah the old s*** was catchy and different but hey this is considered different from his fans too so f*** it
I don’t even consider what he doing “trap” nigga just added some more drums to his music (thankfully) and adlibs he ain’t talking about selling d**** etc
But hey I’m enjoying this ride sorry you can’t brotha
We can agree to disagree

couldn't have said it better myself
I need that first track so bad. That s***s been in my head all day.
"So no more loneliness , I'm saying good bye"
Edit: I think he's saying "no more lonely nights" but still that one hit me
Bro these songs are too good, I loved MOTM3 but there is something special about these new songs, to me they feel like the best music he's put out yet
Cudi has been using that monotone flow a bit too much lately, Idk why but I def prefer his older flows. That 2nd song is beautiful though
I loved the 1st song he played the most followed by the second. Wasn’t feeling the last one too much
