I don't fw with Cudi's music but I'm a huge Cleveland sports fan and everytime Cudi showed up in an arena/stadium he only got nothing but mad love from the fans as far as I remember.

My friend from Cleveland said a few years ago how it was weird Lebron embraced the Browns, Ohio State, etc but never embraced Cudi but embraced other midwest rappers. Cleveland loves Cudi and the Indians hat was part of his uniform for the longest

Then Rich Paul said, “well, Cleveland never really embraced him.” Like, why would Cudi owe the city anything if they didn’t embrace him. So it seemed like he was defending Cudi in that way at least from the context I saw.
