He said so much himself…he got it back when indicud came out. I know some ppl don’t like the beats on there much but it genuinely has some of his best songwriting and bars.
indicud is criminally underrated it’s a weird album but it’s really strong
Just occurred to me how little of rapping is actually on PPDS and I think that makes for a better album bc to me cudi has never been the greatest rapper n I’ve always preferred his more melodic s***
Asher low key a really dope rapper tbh sad he basically got blackballed
damn what asher do?
Who’s 1
Ye
use to have both of them as my wallpaper on my phone in high school .
they my heroes lowkey
I had to turn off Dolby atmos to hear the new intro and dude this s*** is hella mastered
tbh even as a YE fan some niggas on here kidding themselves if they thought Cudi wouldn't have blown up anyway.
this nigga just had it in him
I was a ye fan before a cudi one cudis career would’ve been a bit dif for sure but day n nite made him a household name and that had nothing to do with ye.
Crazy that at one point Cudi was on the same level of Drake. S*** I think I was even more of a Cudi fan back then
i don’t think cudi was necessarily giving him the cold shoulder i think cudi really was only f***in with good music, roc a fella, and chip the ripper
yeah everybody had their own style and flavor. from mainstream to super underground there was a ton of cool artists for everyone there wasn’t like 3-5 different styles there was an endless amount. even had people like asher roth that were cool
Man diving into YouTube before the algorithm, looking on random hip hop websites that uploaded music daily, using limewire to find new artists, s*** was just a magical time in life where technology was evolved enough to really make a tangible difference on music but still innocent enough that it was truly out of passion. I think the music of the time really reflected that
oh s*** it's here
