The conspiracies on COVID:

-It’s real, it’s deadly, and China created it as Biological Warfare

-It’s real, but it’s not deadly, and the liberal media hyped it up to hurt Trump

-it’s just straight up not even real, liberal media completely made it up to hurt Trump

And my personal favorite

-it’s not real, but it was actually made up by Trump to distract the media while he took down the satanic cabal that was smuggling children through underground tunnels across the United States, with a mass evacuation of children through these tunnels conducted in Central Park while everybody was told to stay inside

That said, obviously the right wing conspiracies have been all over the place with Covid. But one of those conspiracies has been about Cuomo covering this up and it has been talked about for months.

As a resident of the NJ/NY area, personally I never felt like Cuomo was covering it up. Like I remember for like 3-4 months there were daily reports from Murphy and Cuomo about the state of New Jersey and New York respectively, and they'd frequently talk about people dying and how the death toll was going up.

I don't think he "covered it up", I feel like after awhile there was just no need to keep saying that people are dying from Covid. It unfortunately "became old news" once the death toll in the US got to 100,000. Most people just accepted people are dying of Covid in a sad and weird way, and it doesn't get discussed. It's something that's just "understood" at this point if this makes any sense. S*** it kinda recently passed 500K deaths in the US and that was hardly even reported.

Well you know the complaint is specifically about the nursing home deaths right? They passed something requiring people who tested positive for COVID to be returned to their nursing homes instead of staying quarantined in the hospital, I’m assuming to keep hospital beds open. It was criticized when they pushed it out, because putting people who have COVID in a building full of elderly people who are extremely at risk is obviously going to have bad results. And then Cuomo’s aides have said they were directed to hide the number of nursing home deaths during a department of justice investigation.

Again if it was covered up you could've fooled me because it was often reported on the news that nursing homes in NJ and NYC were like death zones the way they'd talk about the numbers and how they'd show nursing home staff in full hazmat gear for like 12hrs.

I guess when it came to Cuomo actually reporting the numbers to the DOJ he didn't say anything and that's where the cover up comes from. But I just feel like it became one of those things people just stopped talking about because it seemed redundant to keep reporting it

Yeah it was talked about, people knew the situation was bad from the start. But the AG updated the count in January adding in 3,400 deaths (increasing the reported number by 40%), which Cuomo’s aids admitted to being directed to hide.

And that’s the controversy, which I think is pretty damn bad. It’s exactly what we were worried Trump was doing when he had the numbers reported to the White House instead of the CDC. Cuomo did the thing we were worried Trump would do.
