Yeah I love Larry/Curb, buts ever since it returned a few ago, its jumped the shark.

The scenes/interactions no longer feel organic. Everything feels forced and way more scripted.

The charm of Curb has always been that it dropped you into real life situations where Larry is oblivious to everyone else. Now it feels like he's a caricature of himself. He's flanderized.

Even the way the show is shot is different. It used to feel like a documentary, like you were an onlooker to the conversation. Now it looks like a regular show.

I still laugh but agree 100%

Yeah, that season premiere was not great at all. It’s like they all start at 10. They’re immediately annoyed or outraged, or a rather plain situation is amped up to be “ridiculous” when it’s clear it’s not. His glasses got stretched, ok. His glasses fell in the toilet, ok. The waiter stopped to talk to someone for a few seconds, ok.

Show had a good run. Probably for the best it’s ending.

  • I dug the episode. It made me laugh a bit which is what a sit com should do

I’ll never not love the show even how it looks now but you’re not wrong.

It almost feels like a super bowl commercial version of the original. Where it’s like oh wow they got the same sets and the cast is back doing a super broad, exaggerated curb style bit for a Dorito commercial

But yeah even the worst most mid eps are golden to me in a way.

    New episode felt forced/weirdly paced

    Hope ep 2 is better

  • Feb 7, 2024

Yeah that episode was mid. But they’re not all winners

glad I’m not the only one who thought this.

caricature was the exact word in my mind over while watching a majority of last season and this new premier

the situations have gotten progressively more ridiculous and over the top. Definitely feels less like real life and more like a rich man’s SNL skit

I’ll always love curb but it’s past it’s peak. Still enjoyable though

I liked the set up of the feud between Larry & the hotel maid. Him mentioning there’ll be a tip in the room somewhere then the $10 flying into the toilet after the convo about who has to picks up things that fall in toilets

The pay off to all that with her throwing all of the clothes wasn’t as funny but the journey was fun

  • Feb 10, 2024

yeah this recent episode prob one of the weakest I’ve seen

  • Feb 12, 2024

    This new one was worse

  • Great 2 eps so far

  • Feb 12, 2024

Looks like the full season will be in Georgia

This episode was a lil corny but I still enjoyed some of the bits. But I’m hoping this season heats up more

    Great episode

First episode was a little mid but these later seasons always pick up their momentum
