I need to revisit S.80 soon its been a long ass time. I remember there was a point and time I was legit obsessed with Rigomortus lol
I remember I used to make it a personal challenge to try and match every word without breath breaks like he did back in middle school

Lmaoooo I used to do this too
tpab > damn >>>>>>>>> the rest by a very large margin
You definetly didn’t grow up with Kdots music
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂music knowledge? Either its trash or not. Who cares if he went thru every concept of livin or zum thru a song. Can u listen to it n say tha words while vibin tf out? Play it gettin dressed? Play it outside? Play it and not jus sit there actin like its good😂😂😂😂😂u niggas man. Nigga dont even got no hard s*** u can jus quote and say. Everytime i ask sum1 for sum hard kendrick quotes mfs wanna quote whole fuk songs.... Literally. Rap genius paste tha song. Its not hard to stretch something that can b said in 3 bars into 48 bars.😂😂😂😂😂😂 yall trippin. If u listen to kendrick i already kno wha type of person u r. Tha worst.
Bro his voice and rapping style was so dope back in the day. He kinda lost me after gkmc but i still check out everything he puts out
“you lack musical knowledge”
a lot of people have musical knowledge, they just dont see music as a battle for ultimate complexity/complex arrangements, they see it as something for the soul
They understand this s*** is isnt a chord-substitution d***swinging contest, it’s about whether this s*** makes you feel something or not
i know that post had nothing to do with me, but it just bothers me when i see people say s*** like that
saying tpab is his best album just because of the “complexity of the music/arrangements” has to be the worst/most foolish arguments one could make
and im not even saying it isnt his best album either

Certain Kendrick stans on here need to cut this pretentious s*** out They can't even explain what they mean when pressed about it, I'm still waiting for explanations on what makes LOVE and GOD so musically superior
S80 is better than Damn. The only reason it could even be considered a maybe bad take is just because TPAB is such a strong project. But there's definitely an argument there.
there is no argument between section 80 and tpab lmao

I get what you mean but this is only looking at it from one side.
You can really enjoy and prefer technical music. TPAB has a lot of really unique and technical instrumentation on it (for a mainstream album) and if that's something you enjoy, you're obviously gonna have more respect for that album.
S80 & GKMC >>> TPAB & Damn
I don’t know what happened to him but it’s crazy how much fame made him lose the sense of fun he had
U.u is close though
To answer the thread, I think TPAB is his best project so far. DAMN was a step below GKMC and TPAB but I wouldn't say its bad or a fall off in any way. However I do miss his old energy, it seems like he had less pressure on him and was more free to not be so serious all the time.
If you want examples of what I mean, compare his Nardwuar interview to post TPAB interviews. He clowned Nardwuar about his voice at one point and imitated him I can't picture Kendrick doing s*** like that now. That video of paparazzi following him and he took his phone out and started asking them questions like they were doing to him. I get it because there's more eyes on him now, but I really miss this side of him
Its reflected in his music too, it feels like every track has its place in the story he's trying to tell on his albums. The lyrics on those tracks are more dedicated to delivering a story instead of just bars. Like I can listen to tracks like these and appreciate them as individual pieces of work.
Every time I listen to Money Trees, I think of how its linked to The Art of Peer Pressure and there's a skit at the end to remind me its just part of a bigger story. Not saying that its a bad thing, but he's definitely got less quotable bars now. S*** like "Since my uncles was institutionalized, My intuition had said I was suited for family ties"
"I know some rappers using big words to make their similes curve, My simplest s*** be more pivotal"
Ironically, he's become what he referred to in the first line. Not saying its a bad thing and I completely understand why but I do get what people mean when they say they miss how he used to be Its kinda like people who prefer old Tyler compared to new Tyler, but a lot more subjective because the earlier Kendrick era wasn't extremely cringe and inappropriate

The people that are saying that are all the same person controlling alts. He basically uses alts to regurgitate this s***. He did it on ktt1, he does it on TheColi. I joined ktt1 during TPAB era and it was like this lmao
