no, I'd rather he go conscious than make calculated viral songs for clicks. since he loves copying styles, why not give conscious rap a try?

    Well that's you.

I don’t know why people act like Drake couldn’t make a protest song as good as he is with “instagram caption lyrics” and hooks.

Problem isn’t the lack of ability, it’s that nobody would accept it being from him.

Dude made Started from the Bottom and it wasn’t even about coming from the streets and everyone got upset because they thought he was claiming he did lol. That says a lot right there.

    Congrats op
You just exposed that you are white
Imagine being more worried about making a drake bait thread than something more productive during this time

“And I heard someone say something that stuck with me a lot
Bout how we need protection from those protectin' the block
    Nobody lookin' out for nobody
Maybe we should try and help somebody or be somebody
Instead of bein' somebody that makes the news
So everybody can tweet about it
And then they start to RIP about it
And four weeks later nobody even speaks about it
Damn, I just had to say my piece about it“

Edit: just saw someone already posted. My bad.

He already has. You’re probably too young or just say anything. Check out Reincarnated by Snoop.

so why does he make mafioso mob music if that's not his upbringing?

I think it’s because he’s associated with people that do that stuff

I mean I don’t really see how he’d lose much. White people are the biggest consumers of hip hop even with artists like Kendrick and Cole.
