she was saying soon as she left the car ‘u don’t have feelings for me right’ which I lol’d at but was just another example how he knew she wasn’t interested from the start
I mean to be fair I think he had a chance there . I remember some interviews curry hinted there was the possibility. He simply feared rejection that much . He didn’t want risk of rejection but sought submission . He was a coward . People in my first screening called him a b\*\*\*\* lol . If he made an effort and believed in himself he would have a chance with her . But since he has no clear goal or life purpose . He needs to be coached by Ian and a waitress is the issue

I thought that too until Sarah, I think was her name lol, said that little brother s\*\*\*. Then it seemed she was gonna just set him straight. Especially given the convo before and her tone changing after she left the car, asking that question
I really love how unlikable the protagonist is in this movie. I mean he’s basically sexually assaulting her throughout the film, pretending to be ignorant that she isn’t herself cause he wanted her all to himself and he finally got that. The scene when the real Nikki talks to him from the bed just proved that, he admitted he only cared about his own pleasure more than her suffering. For a movie with so much horror and disturbing moments, that “why is being with me so bad” line is probably one of the most horrific things in the film.
I couldnt wait for him to kill himself and even then he almost pussied out
bro kinda looks jesse lacey
just walked out of the theater with my buddy like

Walking out of the movie, I noticed this lady who had to be in her 80s walking beside me lol. I was like "damn, you’re built different"
when she made the :( face
The interesting thing is that when she made that face (and also when she forced that extreme smile), the audience laughed at first. But as the moment stretched beyond a few seconds, you could sense the room tensing up. Like, that's such a simple but effective technique, and this director used it very well.
something very unique happens in this movie where u simultanously get h****, scared and laughy
Even he goes to the store with the goal of getting her a crystal after she loses her on the phone with him . He refuses the crystal that is sunshine . I haven’t figured out purpose of tiger eye . He never gives her the power to wish anything when more than anything she would probably wish success for her book . Even the Niki fused with freaky Nikki wishes for success for bear career that is a joke to him of food critic .
off the dome, they empathized the tiger eye represented willpower. Nikki give him the tiger eye symbolizing how she “gave up her willpower to him”. Freaky Nikki face it to him right at the dinner date. Could also rep. How freaky Nikki gave up real Nikki’s willpower to him. Later on, he touches it in the bathroom and then puts it down I think. He lacks the willpower to make things right or at least attempt to fix the f\*\*\*ed up situation.
Will revisit tomorrow night after another viewing
Deepfocuslens was raving about this. She's usually really tough on films, but was calling this a classic after her review. I'm gonna check this out on Saturday

Yeah this is fair was thinking there was even more to it some how . Nikki got the gun in the safe mentioned earlier in movie it appears but confused on how she got the knowledge. In a way it’s like she learned from the dead .

She one of my fave reviewers and she is right . First time in a while I want a directors cut or even more movie . Seen it twice in theaters already

Ian says Sarah dad has a gun in the safe isn’t that weird . But I can’t think of why she would have the safe code . That’s why it’s wild he is killed by the same gun . Also she clearly has some of Sarah personality because she tattoos herself and smokes . It’s like when someone dies she can communicate with their souls some how to me .

ahhh, I figured she tatted herself and smoked because she saw him talking to her in the car and the obsession forced her to do that to appease him. she'd do anything for him including matching who it thinks he's branching off toward. yeah getting it out is weird. idk how that happened. I'll be looking out for it today
☹️
LMFAO
that Hansel and gretel story she recites seemed like the real Nikki taking control
I kept saying to myself “bruh go kill yourself and let that girl go” at the end lmao

Was too little too late . He was more scared for the end of his existence than ruining hers and Sarah’s . I feel like audience was in shock
F\*\*\* BEAR. Biggest POS protagonist I've seen in a while, he got what he deserved 100%. Super well-written and great performance by both leads.
Incredible film, lowkey wanna watch again
