Yeah and showing a full day in the life of the other characters or what their wishes would be a lot . We kind of got an idea of what their wishes would be based on their passions . Nikki the book succeeding in writing finding romance . Bear love . Sarah success with tattooing . Bear jokingly a food critic

Sarah got the short shrift in this movie, which is sad because she's the only woman in Bear's life who really seems to get him the way he feels like Nikki does. She is legitimately kind and sweet to him, offers him condolences, flirts with him a bit, etc.

Bear reminds me a lot of lonely posters in life sxn who are oblivious to good things in their lives while focusing too much on random s***

Again I think Nikki liked him too in some ways just wanted him to come out and say it

Nikki is clearly into stronger, more decisive men (most women are, unless they want to be the mothering type for a manchild) and Bear was incapable of being that. She liked him a lot, but not in a romantic/sexual way that comes with strength and confidence. He was too insecure and fearful for that.

I think they were. The "now is the time to tell me" moment was her saying "show me you can be strong and decisive for once" in different words, and he couldn't, so he made a wish that took away her autonomy and everything went downhill

I agree . I guess I wonder what’s a movie where it balances her horror and getting to see her perspective a bit more without the hate . Is it even possible ?

There's a psychological thriller version of this movie in a parallel universe where Nikki actually does have a mental breakdown due to a tragedy in her life and Bear takes advantage of her weakness.

It would be less extreme/funny, but the same people would be arguing with each other online because Nikki would do crazy and destructive things, and people would call her the bad guy, all the while Bear is just letting it ride because his dream came true, a predatory thing to do.

Hell, maybe this movie has already been made. It happens all the time.

Not really a fan of this insofar as it makes fun of the male loneliness epidemic, which is a topic not to be taken lightly. Bear is a piece of s*** loser who took advantage of Nikki because he was too much of a beta to lay down game, even though he easily heightmogged everyone else. Bro had all the tools at his dispoable and resorted to r*pe. That's like being 7'2 with great hand eye coordination and not making it to the NBA.
