We most clearly see that when he refuses to kill her and says “ is loving me that hard “ . He wants Nikki to submit to the spirit posesssing her . She went from able to set boundaries like “ don’t call me freaky Nikki” to saying she is his freaky Nikki. Throughout the movie you see her lose recall of their memories together . Then freaky Nikki ( possessed side ) again only loses control of Nikki’s body when drunk which I think is purposeful . Also he doesn’t drink his full shot ( also purposeful )

does he love her truly or just love the idea of her without the conflict . If he could truly handle the person that was Nikki including the conflict I feel like she would be that . As to why she fed him cat , desecrated their bodies . Wish we saw that in a way to show Nikki fighting it . Or the why . Is it just to do f\*\*\*ed up s\*\*\* or cause the spirit is stumped

This is horror done right. Those shots where she's in the dark, and u can barely discern her face, were super creepy and well done (like when she's in the corner and it almost kinda looks like her face is all distorted)

Also, I rarely get unnerved with most horror movies I watch, but that scene where she suddenly stands up and starts walking backwards gave me chills it was some uncanny valley s*** fs
