Imo this is a test to watch the feedback on last gen gameplay.
If its too negative they gonna delay again

Most people don’t even understand what frame rate even is, they’re not gonna give a s***.
Didn’t hurt The Witcher 3 any.
PC won
we gon feast
PC gonna get better graphics and higher framerates
and this looks great
Well, I guess I feel as confident in the new release date as I could be.
Would be pretty f***ing bad if they delayed it again after all of this.

Frame rate problems in a first person shooters could be a dealbreaker.
Good thing I got a Series X
. Reflections looked so much better on the SX. And this isn’t even the optimized version
Today's stream only consolidated the worries I had about the game:

A lot of the technical aspects I imagine will be rectified by the next-gen patch releasing next year (and don’t forget, the game transfers between gens for free, so you don’t have to buy a separate remaster a la GTAV).
The writing thing I can kind of agree, but it’s difficult to gauge the actual quality of the writing through these disconnected vignettes.
You also have to take into consideration the setting the game takes place in and the type of world it is.
These aren’t the types of characters to wax poetic or anything.

Earlier showcases were all done on PC using ultra presets and the city still was looking kinda empty. As for the cyberpunk setting, it's kinda the opposite the genre was always known for tackling ptretty heavy themes like transhumanism, artificial intelligence, capitalist accelerationism and marginalisation with satisfying depth... This game on the other hand is concerned about telling you how cool it is to shoot with this smart gun, how fast this modified car is, how many neon lights are there etc... It seems like they went in with the pitch of a GTA game set in 2077.
