He didn’t say it was s***ty though, he just said it wasn’t anything mind blowing, which, yeah, I don’t know who reasonably expected the shooting in the game to be on par with dedicated FPSes, that’s absurd.

As long as it’s fun and versatile (which the game as a whole appears to be, you don’t have to play it as a straight up shooter) then that should be more than adequate.

Deus Ex’s (HR/MD) shooting wasn’t great either, but that didn’t really detract from those games at all.

On the second point, he appeared to be speaking mostly on bugs and the like rather than design, which could still potentially be ironed out a bit more by release.

If the gunplay is indeed poop you can bet cdpr is gonna fix it later, and it's part of the reason why they are one of the best devs out there

Crazy how scarce info and footage, especially gameplay footage was for this game over the years. Now they giving gameplay trailers and info away on the game like candy.

Remember when rockstar released the first gameplay trailer for red dead 2. I was like yoooo wtf

I really hope the current/last gen version of the game don’t end up feeling like the “poor man’s Cyberpunk”.

It’d be doubly f***ed up because those are likely to be primary drivers of sales, at least initially, until more people get next gen systems.

Nightmare scenario is this ending up like a reverse “bad PC port” situation.

I see a lot of people comparing this to GTAV in terms of performance expectations, but the thing is is that the PC port of that didn’t come until later. All of the focus was put into consoles, and then the game was upgraded/enhanced for the PC port.

Whereabouts in this scenario the game looks to be made with PC/next gen in mind and parred down to work on current/last gen (since all the footage that they’re showing is from the PC version).
