God dam
This is coming from someone who enjoyed this game a lot. I can feel the deep passion that the devs had for this game, but the game definitely needed a year or 2 to marinate.
Honestly big props to all the devs that dealt with the management/board of directors/investors' of their greedy, micromanaging practices. (pretty much most multi-million dollar corporations are like this tho
)
Ironic that they made a game about rebelling against the corporation, yet they've implemented crunch culture & rushing a product that clearly needed time.
I completely blame the management/studio heads/BoD/major investors for rushing this s***. But these greedy cucks will never f***ing learn their lesson
“There were times when I would crunch up to 13 hours a day — a little bit over that was my record probably — and I would do five days a week working like that,” said Jakubiak, the former audio programmer, adding that he quit the company after getting married. “I have some friends who lost their families because of these sort of shenanigans.”
"The overtime didn’t make development of the game any faster. At E3 in June 2019, CD Projekt announced that the game would come out on April 16, 2020. Fans were elated, but internally, some members of the team could only scratch their heads, wondering how they could possibly finish the game by then. One person said they thought the date was a joke. Based on the team’s progress, they expected the game to be ready in 2022. Developers created memes about the game getting delayed, making bets on when it would happen."
"Some engineers realized that Cyberpunk was too complex of a game to run well on the seven-year-old consoles, with its city full of bustling crowds and hulking buildings. They said management dismissed their concerns, however, citing their success in pulling off The Witcher 3."
Smh. CDPR execs should be ashamed of themselves for continously lying to fans before release, and knowingly giving us an unfinished game
It's extremely disappointing that this game won't ever truly reach it's full potential
I do think eventually this game can be a great experience throughout, but I highly doubt they will be able to make the world feel as alive as they promised it would be. And not to mention all of the cut content and features
Cyberpunk was 3rd person originally
New director came in and wanted huge changed, which some of the top devs didnt like and they left
Made fake demo
No leadership, different teams working on the same stuff
Police system built in last minute
Devs didnt know if game was rpg or gta
Flying cars/car ambush cut content
was originally salty about third person but i'm not since the clothes are TRASH
Personally I wish more games took the rdr2/fallout 3 approach where you can switch between FPS and 3rd person
Honestly I don't, I don't really know how many games do both and still have good combat.
they dont even have a second team working on the next witcher game (pre-production)
Wont get one probably till 2026/2027

Im waiting to see dlc before saying game has no hope

They are the corpos.
Ready to start this game now got a few questions.
Can I go from each main mission to the next or do I need to do grindy side quest stuff in between?
Does levelling up do much?
September....smh. Ghost of tsushima here i come
bro, trust, its a better game in every aspect.

not entirely sure. i think some people have just done the main quest but i think at some point you’ll be underleveled it’ll get a little too hard if you’re just rushing through it. i seriously recommend the side quests though. main quest has better setpieces but the side quests have been my fav part of the game. really interesting stories and not grindy or boring like you would imagine.
leveling up does a lot. you get more points for your skill tree, some clothing and weapons can only be used at certain levels, and it affects how hard enemies are in certain missions. also it affects how your missions play out, like how you get into certain places or how your conversations play out based on what you spec into.
I don't really think this game is bad on PC but after level 35 it seems like the game just gets way too easy

Playing for the first time in weeks after a perfectly timed crash made me wanna not play it.
The magic has worn off a bit. Not even really enjoying the stuff I did
