lmao there's like 2 good mainstream RPGs where your choices affect the story in a memorable way

what u mean half the s*** wsnt explained? there was so much lore to read and dialogue to follow, the story is dope if you actually read the lore and paid attention

when youre with Jackie and you see the Emperor's son kill his father and then Takemura cover for his boss's crime and then Jackie dies and then Takemura wants to work with you to take out his boss but first you need to follow up with Evelynn and then meet his boss' sister and this is all without including Panam or Judy

there's so much good stuff, sure it sucks that a lot was cut but acting like what we got isnt good is literally just childish entitlement considering you were offered a refund and if you want you can buy it again in December, a year after and i guarantee it will be a much more finished experience, especially on low tier systems

New vegas has more options. Witcher 3 too. Even probably fire emblem 3 houses.

And sure the story isnt that bad, i mostly hate on the endings. And that really decides on the dlc if its continued or some other s*** they do

yes, other games did stuff better but cant Cyberpunk be judged without comparisons? it kind of is an original game regardless of flaws

Witcher 3 was made as more of a classic RPG and its their 3rd attempt and it launched pretty rocky on PC tbh

Fallout NV was dope but sooo broken and not a mainstream RPG and a lot of the RPG mechanics didnt feel user friendly which is what CDPR was aiming for since they clearly pulled off advanced RPG mechanics in TW3

Fire Emblem has no open world, no combat, the lore is a repeat of the same s*** from years, but as a tactical turn based anime RPG its an amazing game

DLC might have nothig to do with main story and actually spin off side stories into their own main story expansions

Which would suck. I need to see continuation of V, a proper ending. The boy got screwed over

Let’s get serious. Boohoo for console bozos, IDC. I’m talking about my experience on PC (aka, the only optimal way to experience a game like this).

    • Incredible story, could’ve been made by Nolan.
    • Gameplay felt amazing & maneuvering around was amazing.
    • Graphics were beautiful for me (GTX 1650S).
    • Hauntingly beautiful OST/music.
    • Writing was on point & relevant/realistic.
    • Voice Acting to die for. Male V & Panam💯
    • Immersive open world, despite not being fully fleshed out to the max.
    • Interchangeable plot-lines based on decisions you made.

Would’ve been GOTY if they took an extra year to polish it & just released for PC/PS5/X1.

The story was alright but such a plot seemed more suited for a linear game and not an open world game imo.

Ever since V learns that is going to die if they doesn’t do something about that biochip, the immersion was completely ruined for me. If I was V, from that point I wouldn’t do anything other than main missions. Realistically nobody would waste time exploring the city or doing any secondary activity when they know that they have a timing bomb in their brain.

This is actually one of the problems I had with the game, admittedly. Like, wtf? Leave it open ended a bit so we don’t feel like we’re just gonna die no matter what

From day 1, the best ripper doc in NC tells you “yeah kid, you’re F***ED”

Not gonna lie I found myself asking why I’m collecting cars and money and s*** when I’m going to die anyway lol

Dont know how to spoiler so i'll keep it kinda vague, but did yall not get a good ending?

My ending with Panam is great & thats where i assume the DLC will continue from.

I tried all the other endings available to me & the few endings that have a secondary option as well after, but the Panam one feels the most complete, hopeful & canon.

I can see the dlc with you & panam doing what they said they were gonna do. Its a natural progression imo. And the one with the most openess out of all the endings that were available to me.

    Disagree.

Speaking as someone with a brain tumor, that's false. Especially in moments where you cant do anything to help the situation.

Most people with serious life ending health problems usually try to utilize their left time to the fullest, & if its not a right away life threatening issue, but more of a now your life is just worst thing, it usually opens the person perspective & goals up. This is all assuming the person is able body to some degree.

Now v probably would want to get healed as fast as possible, but there are literally gameplay & story moments where v HAS TOO wait a day or two or three, multiple times. Of course you can fast forward this in the game, but narratively & the "correct way to play", you play those days put like how V would have to live them. Story wise this is ample time for V to take care of or stumble into other things, & gameplay wise its time for you to f*** around. Because again, there is nothing V can do during those rest periods. V has to wait for the contact(s) that is suppose to get V to their goal finally contacts him. So of course you're rest days would be spent doing something else.

Also in the game there are moments where V doesnt care much to get healed or V becomes more selfless, this is realistic to a degree, but it depends on the person. You can shape V to be more careless & to put others before themself too. Which again, isnt that all too uncommon for people with health problems or life threatening problems.

A lot changes a person during these times, but those that havent gone through major health crisis' usually think of it in terms that are very black n white or linear. It isnt like that nor that "simple" for most chronic patients.

Psychologically, emotionally & physically, this state of being is very complicated.

Cloud in FF7 Remake, Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2 & V in Cyberpunk 2077 are great examples & stories in the AAA space of a person dealing with & evolving alongside their health issues

Weren’t other main missions you could do while you are waiting for another main mission? Like if Takemura has you waiting, you could still do Panam missions. I don’t remember any moment in which the game had me waiting for all main missions at the same time. But even if that was the case, if you were to add up all those waiting times it’s still not enough time to complete all the side quests.

I was hoping there was an ending in which I could be free after finishing the main story. But then you get to this “point of no return,” and it’s your last chance to do all the side quests... but it just didn’t make sense for me that V wouldn’t just go straight into the finale. Any excuse I could come up with in my head seemed like a reach to me.

But hey I’ve never been in a situation like V so what do I know about what’s the most realistic way to act?

I’m glad that the story resonated with you, your perspective made me want to play the game again with all of these in mind.
